The Founder - Caitlin Byrnes
Being a fair-skinned kid growing up in a coastal city in Australia in the 70's and 80's was tough! There were more products on the market to accelerate a tan than to protect your skin from harmful UV rays.
Rather than summer being fun, it was stressful, feeling like my skin was burning and my freckles were getting darker! And to add to my self consciousness, Mum made me wear a t-shirt in the water!
As an adult, I spent many years searching for cool clothes to wear in the sun, with no luck. So I decided to take matters into my own hands & Shy Skin was born.
